INTERMEDIATE II SOFTBALL

Players aged approx. 9 - 12 - Kid-Pitch Division

Season will begin in mid-April with most games played at Ward Field, Trinity Field(s), Isaac E. Tongue Field, and New Rochelle High School.  Games are played on weeknights and Sundays.

Play at this level continues to advance, building off foundational skills developed in INT 1 and fostering greater independence and mastery of the traditional game, while introducing player-pitch for the first time in recreation softball. Rules, consistent with Little League, are in place to guide player pitching limits and playing time requirements, as well as newly introduced rules for gameplay, such as leading, tagging, overthrows, and more. INT II teams play an average of 10-12  games, weather permitting. Play throughout the season culminates with a division tournament to end the season. Players from this division are eligible to play in the Little League International tournament that begins in late-June.
